Green Sticker Information

You have probably heard about the Questar Gas "Green Sticker" program on the radio, on television or in the newspaper. This page gives you more information about this program.

When your natural gas equipment is inspected and adjusted by a licensed contractor to meet the changing regional gas supplies, they will have a green sticker like the one pictured below. This will ensure that the natural gas equipment in your home is ready for the changing gas supplies. Your equipment will also operate at peak performance, keeping utility costs down.

More information about the green sticker

Regional natural gas supplies are changing. By the summer of 2008, all natural gas space- and water-heating appliances need a Green Sticker indicating that they have been checked and, if necessary, adjusted to properly burn these changing supplies. If not properly adjusted, these appliances may produce excess carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is an invisible, odorless and tasteless gas that is poisonous and can cause serious injury or, in extreme cases, even death.

If your natural gas space-heating (furnace, boiler, etc.) and/or water-heating appliances do not have a Green Sticker, they need to be inspected and, if necessary, adjusted by a licensed contractor to safely and efficiently burn natural gas supplies that will be entering Questar Gas’s system.
